About 5 Record Assistant Job Vacancies at Arusha City Council
Arusha City Council is situated in northern Tanzania, just below Mt. Meru at an elevation of 1,500m above sea level. The fast-growing city of Arusha has long been the ideal gateway to East Africa’s most famous tourist attractions such as National Parks, and Masai culture; it is now also a popular center for International meetings, conventions, and conferences. For some years Arusha has been the trading center for Tanzanite; a unique Gemstone mined only in northern Tanzania.
The vacancy requires an employee who has graduated from Fourth Form (IV) or Sixth Form (VI) with a Diploma (NTA level 6) in the field of Registry from Universities recognized by the Government, with computer skills.
Lying halfway between Cairo and Cape Town, the town has a history that commenced in the 19th Century when Captain Johannes built a fort at the foot of Mount Meru to facilitate the German colonization of what later became known as Tanganyika. From the little fort, which still stands and has become converted into a museum of natural history, the town of Arusha grew; first as a trading post for the local people, and now into the famous center for various international activities.
