New Vacancies at IRDP, The Institute of Rural Development Planning (IRDP) is a corporate body established by Parliamentary Act No. 8 of the 1980s. This Act provides a legal framework for the Institute to serve as a vital national center for training, research, and consultancy services in rural planning and management. The primary objective is to alleviate both the qualitative and quantitative shortage of skilled manpower, focusing on sustainable capacity building aimed at reducing poverty and achieving sustainable development.
IRDP is dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of rural development practitioners through post-secondary education, training, research, and consultancy services. As a multidisciplinary and multisectoral institute, it is empowered to oversee and coordinate expertise for both in-service and pre-service personnel involved in rural planning across the country. Since its inception, IRDP has been instrumental in shaping methodologies for planning and research, contributing to the future prosperity of its students.
