HESLB fourth batch: Majina Waliopata Mkopo wa Chuo Awamu ya NNE 2024The Higher Education Students Loans Board has announced today (Tuesday, October 29, 2024) the Fourth Batch of student loans, benefitting 9,068 students pursuing Bachelor’s degrees and Diplomas, amounting to TZS 27.52 billion for the 2024/2025 academic year.
In this batch, 4,400 first-year students enrolled in various higher education institutions across the country have been allocated loans worth TZS 13.74 billion. This announcement also includes 2,646 continuing students who are receiving loans for the first time, totaling TZS 8.37 billion.
Loans for Diploma Students
The fourth batch announced today also includes 2,022 first-year diploma students who have been awarded loans totaling TZS 5.41 billion. These students are enrolled in priority programs at various colleges nationwide.

“Samia Scholarship” Grant
To date, a total of TZS 3.14 billion has been allocated for scholarships benefiting 625 students (588 in the first batch, 11 in the second, and 26 in the third) pursuing Bachelor’s degrees in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Appeal Window for 2024/2025
Through this announcement, students who applied for loans for the 2024/2025 academic year but are dissatisfied with their initial allocations or who have not been awarded loans are encouraged to submit appeals within seven days, from Monday, November 4, to Sunday, November 10, 2024.
