44 Job Opportunities At HANANG District, The Director has received a new employment permit for the fiscal year 2023/2024, reference number FA. 97/288/01/09 dated June 25, 2024, from the Secretary-General, Office of the President, Public Service Management and Good Governance. Following this permit, the Director of Hanang District Council invites applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill the following positions:

1. Village Executive Officer III – Twenty (20) Positions

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Chief Executive of the Village Government.
  • Act as the Secretary for the Village Committee.
  • Coordinate the implementation of policies and laws enforced by the Council within the village.
  • Advise the Village Committee on Development Plans.
  • Oversee the enforcement of bylaws and other applicable laws in the village.
  • Supervise various initiatives aimed at alleviating hunger and poverty.
  • Manage revenue collection for the Council and maintain taxpayer records.
  • Report to the Ward Executive Officer.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Form Four (IV) or Form Six (VI) and a Certificate in one of the following fields: Law, Social Education, Financial Management, Community Development, or Arts from a recognized local government training institute or any government-recognized institution.

Salary Scale: Based on government salary levels – TGS B.


2. Driver II – Four (4) Positions

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety.
  • Transport staff to various locations for official duties.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance on the vehicle.
  • Keep a travel log for all trips.
  • Collect and distribute various documents.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Form Four (IV) and possess a Class ‘E’ or ‘C’ driving license with at least one year of driving experience without accidents. Must have attended a Basic Driving Course from VETA or another government-recognized institution.

Salary Scale: Based on government salary levels – TGS B.


3. Records Assistant II – Five (5) Positions

Responsibilities:

  • Record incoming correspondence in the Incoming Correspondence Register.
  • Record outgoing correspondence in the Outgoing Correspondence Register.
  • Distribute files to action officers.
  • Receive files returned from action officers.
  • Locate documents required by officers.
  • Return files to their designated storage areas.
  • Track the movement of files within and outside the institution.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Form Four (IV) or Form Six (VI) and a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Records Management from a government-recognized institution. Computer proficiency is required.

Salary Scale: Based on government salary levels – TGS C.


4. Office Management Writer II – Five (5) Positions

Responsibilities:

  • Type letters, reports, and both confidential and non-confidential documents.
  • Receive visitors and address their inquiries, directing them as needed.
  • Maintain records of events, appointments, visitors, meeting dates, and the supervisor’s travel schedule.
  • Locate required files and documents for work tasks.
  • Receive and distribute files to relevant officers.
  • Collect and organize files and documents.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and take notes.
  • Create a list of office supply needs.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Form Four (IV) or Form Six (VI) with a Diploma in Secretarial Studies or Certificate (NTA Level 6) in secretarial work. Candidates must have a typing speed of 100 words per minute in both Kiswahili and English and proficiency in office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, E-mail, and Publisher from a government-recognized institution.
